When data starts moving: How Würth and Intelisale turned information into decisions

In a dynamic B2B environment, the speed and quality of decision-making become key factors for success. Würth, as one of the industry leaders, has accumulated vast amounts of data for years — from sales, procurement, logistics, and finance. Until recently, however, that data mostly meant extra work: hours spent in Excel, preparing tables that often become irrelevant by the time they are finished, and complex files that confuse more than they help.

That is why the decision was made to take a serious step forward: establishing a stable BI system and moving to Power BI as the central tool for reporting and analysis. The partners in this process were Intelisale and Mainstream — companies that bring not just a software solution and secure, scalable infrastructure, but also a deep understanding of how data becomes a tool for running the business day to day.

Through this partnership, a centralized system was put in place that unifies data from multiple sources — ERP, sales tools, Excel databases — into a single platform. This created the foundation for decisions based on relevant, up-to-date, and visually clear information. Management no longer waits for tables — they have them in real time. Departments no longer work in parallel worlds — they share the same insights. The relationship with data has fundamentally changed.

The BI system quickly became part of everyday work — from the top of the company down to operational teams. Instead of exchanging multiple versions of files, everyone now relies on a single source of truth. Instead of guesswork, decisions are made with solid arguments behind them. This was especially evident during an internal reorganization — when it was essential to quickly assess performance, identify points of leverage, and recognize where change was needed. In that moment, the new BI system proved itself as a strategic resource.

One of the key success factors was the approach to implementation itself. Intelisale did not deliver a universal "out-of-the-box" solution — instead, the system was developed through the concrete needs of users, iteratively, with careful listening to the people who would actually use it. It was particularly important that the BI solution evolved to match the real rhythm of the business — flexibly, quickly, and with an understanding of the bigger picture.

The technical reliability of the system was further secured through the collaboration with Mainstream, but the core values Intelisale brought to the entire process were an understanding of the complexity of an organization like Würth, agility in development, and a commitment to ensuring that analytics does not remain just a technical tool, but becomes the everyday foundation for decision-making.

Rolling out Power BI was not the end — it was the beginning. Today, the platform continues to evolve: new reports are added, automated alert systems are introduced, and KPIs are refined. BI becomes support not only for monitoring, but for planning, prediction, and strategic direction.

For Würth, this project meant much more than modernizing reporting. It was a clear step toward a culture in which data is not a burden, but a foundation. And for Intelisale, it was one more confirmation that the right solution does not start with code — it starts with understanding people, processes, and business.
